"Fulfilling Ambitions"
NHSRF members love meeting up for social and educational events. Here are some of the events for the next year.
| Conference 2008 is being held at Gunton Hall, Lowestoft from Monday 30th June to Friday 4th July 2008.
Gunton Hall is a Warners holiday resort situated beside miles of beaches on the beautiful Suffolk coast.
Optional outings will be arranged on July 1st and July 3rd and the Fellowship's AGM and conference day is
on Wednesday 2nd July. The cost is £270 per person sharing a twin bedded chalet or £295 for single occupation. To make travel a little easier we are organising return coach travel from Peterborough station. Contact Sherry Smith for more information and to book your place - why not bring a friend; they will be made very welcome. |
| The 4th Welsh Conference has been agreed for Thursday 30th October 2008 and will take place again,
at the Metropole Hotel, Llandrindod Wells, Powys. The All Wales Liaison Committee, when reviewing the 2007 conference, agreed to continue the theme entitled 'Life After Retirement'. The programme will include an update on Estate Management and Inheritance Tax. Other areas suggested included Age Concern, Care Homes, The Fire and Police Services, Health and Safety and security matters. We are delighted to report that Ruth Marks, newly appointed Commissioner for the Elderly in Wales, will be attending the conference and will give the key note address. Further information and booking details to follow. |
At branch level you might wish to try winetasting, painting, dancing, golf, travelling abroad, bowls, swimming, etc. These are a microcosm of the enterprises and endeavours that Fellowship members actively pursue today. A major part of the Fellowship's philosophy is to encourage you to fufil lifelong ambitions in your retirement years and to get the very best out of life.
