Welcome to our new administrative support staff – Kate Fussell and Deborah Marsh

The NHS Retirement Fellowship is delighted to welcome Kate Fussell and Deborah Marsh as our new administrative support staff!

The pair joined the Fellowship at the start of November and have been instrumental in some of the major work going on behind the scenes to transform our systems to be better, quicker and more streamlined for our members.

Kate (pictured right) is our Membership and Governance Secretary and has a focus on membership administration. She lives in south Wales and previously worked as an admin manager for a national charity called REMAP. She says she is really enjoying getting to know our members: “I have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know our members, and really appreciate how welcoming they have been. I was invited to join the Cardiff branch’s Christmas meeting recently and was treated to a ukulele band and mince pies! I look forward to meeting my other local branches in the New Year!”

Deborah (pictured left) joins as the Fellowship’s new Membership and Finance Secretary where her priorities will be working with Mike Seaton, Gareth Oakland and Rod How in the management of the charity’s finances. She lives in Nottingham and was previously a chartered accountant at a medium sized educational charity based in Derby. She said she is enjoying getting to know the organisation more: “The team has been really welcoming and I am looking forward to supporting the Fellowship through the next few months as we overhaul our financial systems for the benefit of members.”

Rod How, Chief Operating Officer, said: “I am really delighted to welcome Deborah and Kate to the small staff team which supports the Fellowship members. They bring a wealth of charity experience which the organisation is already benefitting from. They have hit the ground running and already working as an integral part of the team to transform our systems which help put the Fellowship in a great position for growth and development. I know our members will enjoy speaking with them and getting to know them and I am aware that they have already been warmly welcomed.”
